Games For Creativityfrom: Valerie Christie - Guest Writer
Everyone has an inbuilt capability to be creative, but very often it is hidden deep inside your personality, and you may well have to pry open many doors within yourself to get your creativity out in the open.
Your brain contains the creativity, but you have to exercise your brain cells first before you can get your brain working in that direction. This is where the games for creativity step in to play.
The goal of these games and exercises is to show how crazy or indeed impossible problems may be talked about and solved. The techniques involved, are the use of evaluations and different analyses that are not usually thought of in a traditional problem solving situation.
These techniques are not present simply to rate the most intelligent or the brightest person, but are there to give you suggestions about ways in recognizing the things that make you inefficient, or limits you to your conventional thinking.
The first game in some ways is a game that was developed by Andersen Consulting, otherwise called Accenture. Accenture will be of considerable help to you in understanding your style of thinking a lot better. The questions involved in this game quiz are not at all difficult, but you still have to think for a while before you state your answer.
"How could you put a giraffe inside an enclosure!" Well the answer is very easy and you do not have to call a friend for this one. You would open the enclosure first, put the giraffe inside, and then close the gate to the enclosure. This question tries to determine if you might possess a tendency to complicate simple things.
The next question strictly follows the first one. "How could you put an elephant in the same enclosure!" You would probably open the enclosure, put the elephant inside, then shut the enclosure gate, but this would be the wrong answer to this question.
Opening the enclosure certainly does come first, but you would then have to remove the giraffe, replace it with the elephant, and thenclose the gate to the enclosure after doing that. In this example, your ability to consider more complex implications, was put under the spotlight.
These games make you creative, because you tend to dig deeper in your brain to come out with the best and most logical answer, so brace yourself because more questions are coming up.
The king of the jungle assembled a meeting for all the animals, and every animal from the jungle was there, except for one which was the elephant. The reason for this was that you had left the elephant in the enclosure. This question will test your memory on how effective it can be.
Now imagine yourself having to cross a river, which again raisesanother dilemma for you, because the river is infested with huge crocodiles, and these crocodiles are far from being vegetarians. If you stop and think about it for a minute, you could actually swim across the river for as long as you like, well at least until the gathering of all the animals is over as all the crocodiles are busy enjoying themselves at the gathering. This question attempts to find out if you learn quickly from the mistakes you have made before.
These game quizzes checked out if there are certain areas in your brain that are not productive, and therefore are preventing you from being creative. Their main goal is to make you think, given the estimation of how absolutely weird or absurd some problems can become. if you can solve these games for creativity correctly, you are bound to be able to become a creative person.
